Julia trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama.

Theatre includes: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Southwark Playhouse), Crazy Love by Che Walker (Paines Plough), La Dispute (Theatre du Preau, Normandy), Swallow Song (Oxford Playhouse), The Real Thing (Theatre Royal Bath and UK tour), Richard II (Ludlow and Almagro Festivals, directed by Steven Berkoff), and Myth, Propaganda and Disaster in Nazi Germany and Contemporary America (The Orange Tree, Richmond).

Television includes Hollyoaks, Emmerdale and Silent Witness.

Julia has also worked on the development of new writing/performed in rehearsed readings with HighTide, DryWrite, Old Vic New Voices and at Soho Theatre.
